Well, you've come to the right place, so bookmark it now.
Two nights ago, my webhost was hit by a Denial of Service attack. My ad trackers were all down, and so were my lead capture pages. The tremendous traffic that I'd worked so hard to generate could not get through. If you are one who hasn't had much, if any, traffic to your website(s) yet, let me explain how I felt through a saying I once heard in history class:
"You don't know what freedom is until you've had it, then have it taken away."
Well, you don't know what loads of traffic leading to list building and sales are until you've first experienced it, and then had it taken away. Fortunately, it was only for an evening, and it wasn't ALL of my sites (as I've like 3 webhosts) but it was most of them - enough that it mattered.
Now that might not seem like a lot to some, and like a fortune to others, but when you have a formula where the goal to financial freedom is to make at MINIMUM one $87 sale per day, then it matters because one $87 sale per day adds up to $2,697/mo. Whereas the gurus would have you chasing 5 and 6 figure paychecks every month, the wise man knoweth that all one need do is cover his or her monthly expenses, and then some, to experience that highly sought after "peace of mind."
Once you have the one $87 sale per day down, you can then focus on increasing it, but the goal has to be FINANCIAL FREEDOM, and not DESIRING bigger, outrageous sums of cash which is no freedom at all.
So, with my one $87 sale per day formula lightly explained, what was I going to do now that my sites were down? I mean, even my blog is full of ad trackers and my ad trackers weren't working, so now what?
LISTDOTCOM TO THE RESCUEEEEE!
I told my loyal list members just 2 days prior that I use ListDotCom to make an extra $50-$200 EVERY...OTHER....DAY. That's on top of website and list sales! Because we're so conditioned to believe making money is supposed to be HARD, we just don't see the forest for the trees or, as Earl Nightengale used to say, the "Acres of Diamonds." And ListDotCom is one of the biggest, no-brainer money making secrets I've ever been privy to.
So when my webhost basically came to a grinding halt, I remembered that I had ListDotCom to achieve my simple goal of AT LEAST one $87 sale per day.
"SO HOW EXACTLY DID YOU IT, SAM?"
As simple as pie, honest. Coming from a long history in a wildly successful family business, I knew that the only way to make money is to spend money. That's it. That's an immutable law of making money - you have to spend it to make it. Of course, you have to spend it wisely, but how can you spend it wisely when you're conditioned to chase 5 and 6 figure paychecks rather than one $87 sale per day?
Since Day 1, I have done virtually nothing more than tell everyone very candidly what I do to make mony on the web. Is it always glamorous? No. Is it always flashy!? No. Is it always like the gurus?! No! But does it help me make AT LEAST ONE $87 SALE PER DAY?!
YES! YES! and YES!!
You bet it does! So what in Heaven's name is stopping you from hearing? What is preventing you from making the one $X sale each day that will help you experience that peace of mind? You have 24 hours to make it, and you can take bathroom and snack breaks whenever you want. And there's no one lording over you and blaming you for their mistakes. So where is your minimum of one $(your amount) sale per day? Is there some kind of shortage of people on the web that I don't know about? Did a spaceship take a whole bunch of humans to Mars?
Where is your one sale per day?
ALRIGHT, are you ready to listen? Are you ready to start making your one sale per day? Or, if you prefer, you can continue chasing that big pay day promised to you by any of the big MLMs pushing VOIP or Luxury Condos in the Swiss Alps, or whatever you like, it's your life. But if you want to speed things up a bit and start down that path towards your "AT LEAST one sale per day" life, then listen closely...please, for you... not for me because I am already doing it - I am already free.
HERE IS WHAT I'VE DONE TO ALMOST GUARANTEE $50-$200 EVERY OTHER DAY TO REACH MY "AT LEAST ONE $87 SALE PER DAY" GOAL.
I upgraded at Mike Filsaime's ListDotCom and have never looked back. It has allowed me to email 5,000 random people every other day! Now, I don't know if maybe you have an issue with Mike Filsaime, or if you are envious of him, or don't like his ad copy, or don't care for the fact that he has worked alongside Mark Joyner, but if you want to keep hanging on to that grudge, just know that it's costing you $50-$200 or more, every other day.
If that's you, do you think you want to maybe let go of it right about now, or would you prefer to wait until the IRS comes and takes away another couple of pieces of furniture? :-) It's up to you, but what's the worst that's going to happen? Let's take a look at what will happen after you upgrade at Mike Filsaime's ListDotCom
- You end up on his mailing list (big deal, that's part of the game)
- You pay a one-time UPGRADE fee (which is WAY more than reasonable for the opportunity), and then,
- You have the rest of your life to mail 5,000 people EVERY OTHER DAY in order to make back your investment and more. Hello? Anybody home?
Make sure you read that correctly: You can email 5,000 people EVERY OTHER DAY for the REST OF YOUR LIFE!
"Yeah but, how do I know all 5,000 people are receiving my email?!"
You want the truth? You'll always get it here...YOU DON'T KNOW! You have NO WAY of knowing if 5,000 people are REALLY getting your email, or if spam filters are devouring 50% of it. But here's what I DO KNOW....
Pursuant to my goal of having financial peace of mind by making "at least one $87 sale per day" I am only concerned with reaching at least 2-4 buyers from that group of 5,000. So do I want to deny myself that extra $50-$200 (sometimes $400-$800) just because I have no scientific way of measuring whether or not ALL 5,000 of my emails are getting through? Should I give back all the money I've made and tell Mike I want a refund of my original upgrade investment?
I DON'T THINK SO..!
You know how it is...you can burn right outta here and head back to your inbox to face down those 50 or 100 other swell offers from people less capable than you, trying to tell you that Book A or Book B, or stuff that's just going to enhance your dust collection, is somehow the next best thing since the Garden Weasel, or....OR....you could make a reasonable one-time payment to someone who already has all the ducks lined up for you and start mailing FIVE THOUSAND PEOPLE EVERY OTHER DAY!
Think about it...
Spammy Inbox...? or 5,000 people?
Spammy Inbox...? or 5,000 people?
Spammy Inbox...? or 5,000 people.
Spammy Inbox...? or ListDotCom
I'm only telling you what I do, and what those I know do, and what, as a matter of fact, a LOT of people do that WORKS, starting NOW, not tomorrow, or next week or next year...NOW!
Sincerely wishing you great success,
Sam Freedom
PS. Mark my words. The moment I post this, I am heading over to ListDotCom and making AT LEAST another $50-$200 EASILY. Go check it out for yourself right here:

That's a very good question, Ivan. There is a PRO membership available for a 1 time fee that is much less than the ListDotCom Diamond Membership. The Diamond Membership was offered as a OTO (one-time only) offer for around twice that, I believe.
I can only tell you that were anyone to sign up under me as a New Member, that OTO would be available to them again and they could become a Diamond Member with no further fees for life. That is the one that allows you to send 5,000 every other day (75,000 a month!) and you have every other day from there on to make back the reasonable upgrade fee and THEN some!
As for what to sell, well, again that is a great thing to experiment since we are no longer talking about a monthly fee you can experiment with various items in the PayDotCom marketplace.
I've struck upon a few good ones and just keep milking them over and over. You're also going to do well if you offer something free that leads to a lead capture page.
Once you have people on your list, you can email them asking for their survey opinion on your book in exchange for something, then assess their need and so on. There's so many ways to fly with this.
But here are the 3 important links for you again:
To sign up for ListDotCom and take advantage of the OTO Diamond Membership 5,000 emails every other day for life deal:
ListDotCom Diamond Membership
PayDotCom for Products to Promote via ListDotCom, etc.
Something to Promote w/Huge Conversion Rates!
There, I hope that helps. I'm not sure how many people you already have under you in LDC but it's your decision whether to email 20 people or 5,000 every other day. :-)
Nice hearing from you, Ivan.
Sincerely,
Sam
Hi Sam,
You make a very persuasive case for ListDotCom but I would be interested to know whether you think that this program is superior to any other similar programs, eg List Building Machine, Lucky List etc. Surely they are all basically safelists where the members are all trying to sell their own products and are not interested in buying.
Although you mention that you use ListDotCom for collecting email addresses to build a separate list, you imply that you are managing your $87 a day by direct sales to members of ListDotCom. Is this in response to your first advert or are your sales the result of follow-up emails?
Sincerely,
Hugh Harris-Evans

Hey Sam
I love your approach to marketing. You don't just promote something `as is`, you wrap it up in whole new story. Like your RoboRiches vs RichJerk Smackdown and this - marketing ListDotCom (not after the current prizes are you...) via a "DOS Attack" story. I love it! In any case it works since I always seem to open your e-mails :D

Hi Sam,
You make a very persuasive case for ListDotCom
Part of my passion lies in finding new ways for people to look at things past, reconstituting "last years" rage in new ways that can provide a huge unexpected benefit. So, thank you for feedback.
I would be interested to know whether you think that this program is superior to any other similar programs. Surely they are all basically safelists where the members are all trying to sell their own products and are not interested in buying.
Au contrairre moi frairre (someone correct my French, please!)! On the contrary, Hugh, though you are calling my hand and forcing me to elucidate a concept I had intended to write about at greater lenght in an upcoming work.
It is a mistake to use the word safelist in conjunction with something like ListDotCom because safelists have a negative connotation. In fact, they are the ONE oppportunity out of the spectrum in which even I, patron St of the Internet's Roads Less Travelled, have difficulty find any value.
ListDotCom is quite different because the most emails any person is receiving at a given time would be twenty, and not the usual 100s or 1000s associated with a safelist. So you don't have the "sweep em under the rug" mindset with LDC so commonly found in safelists.
I think ListDotCom IS superior to those other programs because, in my educated opinion, its OWNER is superior to the other owners when it comes to many (if not all) aspects of internet marketing.
But most important to me is a combination of customer service and humility, and Mike has them both. That is then compounded by the fact that the guy is not a follower, but a leader. Plainly and simply, he knows how to drive traffic. He has Paydotcom, Instant Buzz, ListDotCom and quite a few other ventures, so when someone like myself breaks down the huge potential of LDC for others to understand, there'll be no shortage of older and new people to read those emails.
While others I've seen have some list building potential, I do not believe it is of the same quantity or quality as ListDotCom.
As for people just trying to sell their own products and not wanting to buy anything, that is the point I was intending to write of soon...
Inside every freebie seeker is a consumer waiting to be born. Inside every consumer is a business owner waiting to be born. Inside every business owner is a b2b customer waiting to be born, and so on. That's how I look at it.
While the users of ListDotCom are trying to sell things, they are simultaneously buying things. It is incumbent upon the reader of this post and its comments to find something of either tremendous value, or very broad appeal to sell.
Now, in my post, I had set my goal at a MINIMUM of one $87 sale per day, but that is not for everyone. Some more, some less. Perhaps you are happy to start with covering a bill like a monthly car payment of $250, or a rent of $550. Your MINIMUM goal then would be either $8/day or $19/day.
That isn't to sell yourself short, or to lower your standards, but rather to take on something realistic and then grow it from there. Who reading this, other than one who has made it to freedom, wouldn't be happy to start simply by paying off 1-2 extra bills per month and continue to work up from there?
That being said, Hugh, were you to make just a $57-$140 sale in one day, you could take the week off from marketing...or not, that would be up to you, but your goal would be met. (I'm assuming you have SOME other kind of income and aren't broke and starting from scratch).
See, our minds are so flooded with unrealistic numbers...not unrealistic as regards our overall potential, but unrealistic as regards our abilities *right now*, so we have to start from a point around which we can wrap our heads. :-)
Although you mention that you use ListDotCom for collecting email addresses to build a separate list, you imply that you are managing your $87 a day by direct sales to members of ListDotCom. Is this in response to your first advert or are your sales the result of follow-up emails?
Mostly my first advert, but I've been at this a while and I've found some real winners. In fact, you might just find some of them right here throughout this blog. ;-) But only someone reading this thread in its entirety would have read this and, therefore, earned that bit of knowledge.
However, I mostly follow the namesqueeze method and always offer an upsell or sale item of value after the signup page, something useful, something relevant. Those tend to be around the $20 range.
So, in my ListDotCom advertisements, I'll include BOTH a compelling item of great value, AND a "freebie" and I make sure the freebie is either branded internally and/or externally.
And then there's the follow up mail by which the link arrives, and the thank you page where people land after the signup is made. You see, making that initial sale at ListDotCom is only the tip of the iceberg.
But yes, at LEAST $50-$200 per mailing comes from direct sale, and then there are all kinds of tasteful follow-up.
There, Hugh, I hope I have answered your questions to your satisfaction. Please feel free to follow-up if more questions arise. :-)
Sincerely,
Sam

Hey Sam
Hey Stu
I love your approach to marketing.
Killer compliment, thank you. It's because I love my approach, too. :-) That's not conceit, either. What I'm saying is I really LOVE this and enjoy it, and the most fun is when I share something that makes a lightbulb go off in peoples heads and they're like, "Ahhaaaaa! Now I get it!" I remember so vividly what it was like when I first started really seeing myself as having a real shot at success in online marketing.
Shhhh! You will give away my secret and then I'll have to change my sales strategy into a dramatic story about how Stu gave away my secret and everyone robbed me blind. Then I can sell copies of the book for a cool million dollars in sales.
Would you like to see that? :-)
Thanks for your friendly comments and appreciation. I'm guessing you'd like me to "keep up the good work, eh?" Wait'll ya see what I'm pulling out of my hat next...
Sincerely,
Sam
The obligatory PS. - By the way, Stu, I am not after the ListDotCom contest prize. That wouldn't even get me through til noon, but I like the way you think. :-)
Hello Sam,
I am a newbie inching my toe over the internet marketing threshold, and you are a great encouragement to me! I have a vision of this life of freedom, but I seem to get on every guru's mailing list, and it is frankly overwhelming, not to mention absurdly expensive... You are a light of reality shining through that fog! Plus you are a heck of a nice guy!
Just wanted to say thanks.

Hi Sam,
I have been outside in my garden enjoying the unusually warm weather for autumn in the UK. I have only just seen your reply to my questions but now I see what you mean. I joined ListDotCom as a free member and when I just checked my account I found that my ID is 125. My trouble is that I join everything new but then fail to follow up and concentrate on one thing. Obviously I now need to cancel my membership and rejoin under your link as soon as I have the spare cash to take advantage of the OTO.
Thanks for your help and encouragenment.
Sincerely,
Hugh

Well Sam, common sense on the path to internet righteousness came to me rather late in life.
Who's keepin' score? Just enjoy what you can and keep a steady effort going. :-)
The amazing fact is I came upon that insight myself and today you validated my belief. We only need to focus on a DAILY average not the mega zillions hyped to us.
Funny how that happens, huh?
I am a woman of a "certain age" and want to retire back to my beloved Oregon. A daily average at the moment or very near future as soon as I figure out what I am doing is 50 bucks. That's it. $50.00. Doable and the mind won't give way to mindless wandering on making a killing.
Hey, if you can swing it, why not tack another $200-$300 on per month for an even greater feeling of ease and relaxation and lightly up your daily goal to $60? Understandably, implementation is easier said than done, but when you look at it like this, what's another $10/day for all that extra enjoyment?
Starting out slowly is now my motto. Thanks for blogging your thoughts to help those of us searching for validation or actual concrete, can really do it, information. Moon Dancing Nana
You're welcome, Nana. Keep on dancin'...! :-)

Levada, please, this is a controvery blog so please be more controversial, ok? Thanks.
Just kidding, Levada. I appreciate your support and words of approval. See, we have something really unique here. It's my mission, in a way. We're demystifying a lot of the hype and blowing away a lot of the smoke and fog that have been planted in our brains by some unscrupulous people who, intentionally or not, have, misused powerful knowledge.
I still venture to say that most people reading this do not realize the extent of the manipulation that is used on them quite regularly every day. They might suspet it, but not actually see the extent of the effect it has had on them.
Here I am saying that one does not have to be a clever genius but either
a) has to learn how to leverage the mechanisms in place to their (and others') benefit, and/or
b) reflect and consider what another, such as myself, is revealing.
In this post, I've exposed something very simply and clearly for people to see. And anyone on my mailing list can learn, by osmosis, how to write light-hearted, entertaining, informative and interesting ad copy.
(Free Downloads Monthly Program will get you on the list if the reader is not already on it.)
So I spelled it out pretty clearly:
Diamond Membership - to email 5,000 people every other day.
Paydotcom or CB - for products to promote
My mailing list - to pick up tips experientially on how to write effective copy. The most effective copy is sincere explanation and friendly story-telling.
So I can understand why you are happy and excited and grateful, and I'm glad to hear of it.
I wish you much continued success,
Sam
ps. Remember, always use a ps!

That's an early one, Hugh! You've not even attempted to tap its full potential, I see.
Obviously I now need to cancel my membership and rejoin under your link as soon as I have the spare cash to take advantage of the OTO.
Well, your response also belies an important lesson. When you support others, you get their support in return. That's one of those bits of information that *seems* obvious and anyone hearing it will say, "of course!" yet knowing is different than doing.
Doing comes from understanding, and I understand that the only way to realize a stable success is by strengthening others who wish to learn. We always go where the food is, right? And thought it happens, rarely do we ever bite the hand that feeds us.
That's a good lesson for all.
As for your "trouble" of not following up and concentrating, I see it a little differently. You've not yet been inspired, though I think you are on the verge of it.
After all, you have a very nice garden site and it's well crafted. Even though it's been helped along by SBI, you still had to put in some initial effort to build it, and now to maintain it, so you have no trouble concentrating and following up. You just need something else to be excited about.
I hope you upgrade in LDC soon and then, with a modicum of research, such as on Ebay or the like, you find a couple of hot products with general appeal and write a little bit of sizzle and give it a whirl. After all, you'll have every other day for the rest of your life to refine your efforts. :-)
Thanks for your help and encouragenment.
You're welcome and good luck, Hugh. I think you're doing just fine.
Sincerely,
Sam
hey Sam,
I was 'given' the free platinum membership with 5000 emails a day allowed (?) fully one year ago with the purchase of MYOS and have emailed Mike F when I couldn't access my account, even found another name listed on my account # when I got partial access once, and have never recieved a response from Mike. What gives with that. I basically gave up as I felt this was another ripoff as so many others i have come across. Perhaps you have more pull with Mike to get my account straighted out. I purchased MYOS before Mike Chen sold it.
