A Big List, or a BIGGER List? Those Are Your Only 2 Options...

(Near the end, I explain how you can also obtain Unlimited Autoresponders that DO NOT require you to reconfirm your optin leads...just LOAD and GO! FREE!)

Not having a list is not an option. The title clearly says, "A Big List, or a Bigger List?" and since you are reading this, you have, unbeknownst to you, tacitly agreed to one or the other. So if you do not have a mailing list, or you think it's way too hard for you to get one, or you're unhappy because yours is really puny, then you won't get any sympathy from me. Because I'm going to show you, and give you, concrete ways to build your list - to either be BIG or....
BIGGER!

Let me come at this from another angle.

As of this same time next year, there's going to be somewhere on the order of another 24 million people surfing the web. Out of those 24 million, some of them will have built a mailing list in less time than it took either of us. But MOST of those 24 million are going to be looking to BUY something.

And out of those who want to BUY something, MANY will want to buy something that YOU have already heard about and/or have tried. Now...

WOULDN'T YOU LIKE TO BE READY FOR THAT?
In the previous article, I spelled out clearly how it is I continue to both survive AND thrive even when my webhost is under a Denial of Service Attack. I spelled out, clear as day, that because I had paid the modest fee on the one-time-only offer upon signup at ListDotCom, I am now able to email 5,000 random people EVERY OTHER DAY for as long as I, or Mike Filsaime, live. :-) And that I earn between $50-$200 each time.

As you can see in the previous posts comments (and in my email moreso), people wrote to me asking,

"Ok Sam, you've made a very good case for the ListDotCom Diamond Membership Upgrade, now what should we sell?!!"

Well I can't tell EXACTLY everything I sell or people would copy me and I would lose my shirt big time. However, in some comment replies, I DID link to Mike Filsaime's PayDotCom which has 100s of merchants with 1000s of affiliate product to choose from. And I said that since Diamond Membership upgrades have every other day FOR THE REST OF THEIR LIVES to email 5,000 people then, unless there was a financial crises at hand, they would have ample time to experiment and to do a little testing to find out what was right for them.

Furthermore, I went on to say that any member of my list who reads my emails and blog posts is constantly exposed to some fine examples of writing that he or she can study (not copy, but study) to help get a good idea of how to do the same. I mean it's all right here, like out in the open, a REAL way to go about making some cold hard cash rather quickly and regularly.

AND YET...I SHALL BE VERY SPECIFIC ABOUT ONE OF THE SECRETS I PROMOTE WHEN EMAILING TO THE 5,000 RANDOM LISTDOTCOM MEMBERS.

Now if you're on my list, you may know that I've already told people TWICE about what you're going to see next, however, I've never quite framed it this way before, or told people HOW I have used it to explode my list huge. I just offered this awesome list building product simply AS a list building product without ever having mentioned that I use it in conjunction with ListDotCom.

But before I tell you what it is, let me tell you WHY I use it. Even though we get to email 5,000 people every other day for the rest of our lives - live people just like you and me! - I still consider EACH and EVERY mailing PRECIOUS! Each one you miss, or mess up, is like throwing money and leads out the window. And you work too hard for that...I know I do. So here's the formula I use to maximize my ListDotCom Diamond Membership mailing results every other day.
Each outgoing message (except for rare circumstances) must contain both,
  • A brief tempting description, about 1-2 paragraphs long, of a hot, direct sale item that invites or teases the reader to have a closer look, and
  • Something FREE - and USEFUL. (lead generation)

That's the minimum necessary for a ListDotCom mailing. Strictly speaking, the reader often gets the fr/eebie and then sometimes buys the product. Win-win-win...

Since I'm burning the midnight oil here, I'll now just show you what it is I use in ListDotCom that gets me signups OVER and OVER and OVER and will make your list BIG!

A MEMBERSHIP GIVEAWAY RIGHTS LICENSE!

With it, I get to give away the following (all the links lead to the same place, but I'm showing them so you can see what some of your splash pages would look like..)

Splash Page 1
Splash Page 2
Splash Page 3
Splash Page 4

(Go ahead, get one, I don't mind! ;-) )

And if you said you wanted your list to be even BIGGER...then

HERE'S THE GRAND-DADDY OF ALL GIVEAWAY LICENSES!

So, now you have the final piece...and you can make the most difficult decision of deciding whether you want a BIG list, or a BIGGER list!
Here are the culprits again...!
and
And remember, those are just GREAT starters for collecting TONS of leads. You get to give away the memberships on the splash page above wherever allowed...forever and ever...! I do it REGULARLY and that's why my list isn't BIG, but....
BIGGER!!!
Alright, don't just sit there staring at your screen! Between mailing 5,000 people every other day at ListDotCom and stuffing each offer with AT LEAST 1 tempting direct sale item and 1 free membership giveaway as per above, you should soon be styling with a bulging mailing list in JUST enough time to be ready for those 24 million people next year!!! :-)
Now get crackin!
Sam
PS. As mentioned at the top of this post, if you either join LDC under me as a Diamond Member, OR obtain either license above, I will GIVE you FREE UNLIMITED AUTORESPONDERS that DO NOT REQUIRE YOU TO RECONFIRM YOUR LEADS. Yes, you can upload your leads lists without having to ask them to opt back in! And don't worry - my friend who runs it watches it VERY carefully so anyone who attempts to spam is GONE...!
A One-time VERY Low payment lets you give away Free Memberships FOREVER...
PPS. Ah, I forgot, this you'll appreciate...the Ultimate License comes with SIXTY THOUSAND LEADS. And MAN those "no reconfirmation required" unlimited Free autoresponders are going to come in SUPER handy, huh? ;-)

How to Survive a Denial of Service Attack on Your Business!

It's really simple. You're cruising this blog for the simple fact that either your fascinated with it and have nothing better to do, or, you're desperately seeking to increase your income enough to escape the rat race hellhole some people mistakenly accept as "ordinary life."

Well, you've come to the right place, so bookmark it now.

Two nights ago, my webhost was hit by a Denial of Service attack. My ad trackers were all down, and so were my lead capture pages. The tremendous traffic that I'd worked so hard to generate could not get through. If you are one who hasn't had much, if any, traffic to your website(s) yet, let me explain how I felt through a saying I once heard in history class:

"You don't know what freedom is until you've had it, then have it taken away."

Well, you don't know what loads of traffic leading to list building and sales are until you've first experienced it, and then had it taken away. Fortunately, it was only for an evening, and it wasn't ALL of my sites (as I've like 3 webhosts) but it was most of them - enough that it mattered.
And it cost me, I'd guess, about 50 leads and around $100-$200 in sales.

Now that might not seem like a lot to some, and like a fortune to others, but when you have a formula where the goal to financial freedom is to make at MINIMUM one $87 sale per day, then it matters because one $87 sale per day adds up to $2,697/mo. Whereas the gurus would have you chasing 5 and 6 figure paychecks every month, the wise man knoweth that all one need do is cover his or her monthly expenses, and then some, to experience that highly sought after "peace of mind."

Once you have the one $87 sale per day down, you can then focus on increasing it, but the goal has to be FINANCIAL FREEDOM, and not DESIRING bigger, outrageous sums of cash which is no freedom at all.

So, with my one $87 sale per day formula lightly explained, what was I going to do now that my sites were down? I mean, even my blog is full of ad trackers and my ad trackers weren't working, so now what?

LISTDOTCOM TO THE RESCUEEEEE!

I told my loyal list members just 2 days prior that I use ListDotCom to make an extra $50-$200 EVERY...OTHER....DAY. That's on top of website and list sales! Because we're so conditioned to believe making money is supposed to be HARD, we just don't see the forest for the trees or, as Earl Nightengale used to say, the "Acres of Diamonds." And ListDotCom is one of the biggest, no-brainer money making secrets I've ever been privy to.

So when my webhost basically came to a grinding halt, I remembered that I had ListDotCom to achieve my simple goal of AT LEAST one $87 sale per day.

"SO HOW EXACTLY DID YOU IT, SAM?"

As simple as pie, honest. Coming from a long history in a wildly successful family business, I knew that the only way to make money is to spend money. That's it. That's an immutable law of making money - you have to spend it to make it. Of course, you have to spend it wisely, but how can you spend it wisely when you're conditioned to chase 5 and 6 figure paychecks rather than one $87 sale per day?

Since Day 1, I have done virtually nothing more than tell everyone very candidly what I do to make mony on the web. Is it always glamorous? No. Is it always flashy!? No. Is it always like the gurus?! No! But does it help me make AT LEAST ONE $87 SALE PER DAY?!

YES! YES! and YES!!

You bet it does! So what in Heaven's name is stopping you from hearing? What is preventing you from making the one $X sale each day that will help you experience that peace of mind? You have 24 hours to make it, and you can take bathroom and snack breaks whenever you want. And there's no one lording over you and blaming you for their mistakes. So where is your minimum of one $(your amount) sale per day? Is there some kind of shortage of people on the web that I don't know about? Did a spaceship take a whole bunch of humans to Mars?

Where is your one sale per day?

ALRIGHT, are you ready to listen? Are you ready to start making your one sale per day? Or, if you prefer, you can continue chasing that big pay day promised to you by any of the big MLMs pushing VOIP or Luxury Condos in the Swiss Alps, or whatever you like, it's your life. But if you want to speed things up a bit and start down that path towards your "AT LEAST one sale per day" life, then listen closely...please, for you... not for me because I am already doing it - I am already free.

HERE IS WHAT I'VE DONE TO ALMOST GUARANTEE $50-$200 EVERY OTHER DAY TO REACH MY "AT LEAST ONE $87 SALE PER DAY" GOAL.

I upgraded at Mike Filsaime's ListDotCom and have never looked back. It has allowed me to email 5,000 random people every other day! Now, I don't know if maybe you have an issue with Mike Filsaime, or if you are envious of him, or don't like his ad copy, or don't care for the fact that he has worked alongside Mark Joyner, but if you want to keep hanging on to that grudge, just know that it's costing you $50-$200 or more, every other day.
That's a costly grudge to be holding.

If that's you, do you think you want to maybe let go of it right about now, or would you prefer to wait until the IRS comes and takes away another couple of pieces of furniture? :-) It's up to you, but what's the worst that's going to happen? Let's take a look at what will happen after you upgrade at Mike Filsaime's ListDotCom

  • You end up on his mailing list (big deal, that's part of the game)
  • You pay a one-time UPGRADE fee (which is WAY more than reasonable for the opportunity), and then,
  • You have the rest of your life to mail 5,000 people EVERY OTHER DAY in order to make back your investment and more. Hello? Anybody home?

Make sure you read that correctly: You can email 5,000 people EVERY OTHER DAY for the REST OF YOUR LIFE!

"Yeah but, how do I know all 5,000 people are receiving my email?!"

You want the truth? You'll always get it here...YOU DON'T KNOW! You have NO WAY of knowing if 5,000 people are REALLY getting your email, or if spam filters are devouring 50% of it. But here's what I DO KNOW....

Pursuant to my goal of having financial peace of mind by making "at least one $87 sale per day" I am only concerned with reaching at least 2-4 buyers from that group of 5,000. So do I want to deny myself that extra $50-$200 (sometimes $400-$800) just because I have no scientific way of measuring whether or not ALL 5,000 of my emails are getting through? Should I give back all the money I've made and tell Mike I want a refund of my original upgrade investment?

I DON'T THINK SO..!

You know how it is...you can burn right outta here and head back to your inbox to face down those 50 or 100 other swell offers from people less capable than you, trying to tell you that Book A or Book B, or stuff that's just going to enhance your dust collection, is somehow the next best thing since the Garden Weasel, or....OR....you could make a reasonable one-time payment to someone who already has all the ducks lined up for you and start mailing FIVE THOUSAND PEOPLE EVERY OTHER DAY!

Think about it...

Spammy Inbox...? or 5,000 people?
Spammy Inbox...? or 5,000 people?
Spammy Inbox...? or 5,000 people.
Spammy Inbox...? or ListDotCom

I'm only telling you what I do, and what those I know do, and what, as a matter of fact, a LOT of people do that WORKS, starting NOW, not tomorrow, or next week or next year...NOW!

Sincerely wishing you great success,
Sam Freedom
PS. Mark my words. The moment I post this, I am heading over to ListDotCom and making AT LEAST another $50-$200 EASILY. Go check it out for yourself right here:

Congratulations! Apparently You Have a Brain! - "The Rich Jerk vs. RoboRiches". Which One Is Right For You?

VS.

RoboRiches Robot

The Rich Jerk

Ok, the gloves are off! RoboRiches, by Bob Williams and Brian Garvin just hit the streets hot off the presses. Being in the loop, and one of the first to know, I looked it over and blasted out to my loyal list members immediately so they could get the jump on the crowds while their heads weren't yet full of distortions or distractions from the swarm of copy/paste ads that would soon find their way to my list members inboxes.

(Join Free Downloads Monthly Newsletter Here)

A number of people wrote to me shortly thereafter with some version of the following question:

"Sam, which one should I get?
The Rich Jerk or RoboRiches?

Understandable, since each makes some really big claims:

THE RICH JERK:

ROBO RICHES:

Tough choice, huh? Either $25k/mo. or $100k/mo. seems like a no-brainer, right?

THINK AGAIN...!

The Rich Jerk:

Offers strategies. To its credit, these are some of the finest strategies without which most successful marketers would not be where they are today. Even with all his experience, Willie Crawford wrote that he had learned a nugget or two that made getting it worthwhile (and that was at twice it's current price!)

RoboRiches:

Offers an in-depth, detailed SYSTEM with ongoing notifications from Brian Garvin and Bob Williams, two of the most successful marketers today. Besides, Robert Kiyosaki, author of "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" says if you want to break free of the rat race, you NEED a system!

And this is directly from the RoboRiches sales page:

"The only requirements are that you need to follow exactly what we've done and you will never have to worry about Money again.

If we tell you to Turn Left.. just do it OK."

So, The Rich Jerk gives you a steamship full of truly secret, proven, money-generating strategies that all successful marketers know and use; while Robo Riches gives you a SYSTEM and tells you what to do - direct from the wisdom of two PROVEN successful marketers.

So Then Which One Should YOU Get?

That depends on two things:

1) Your current setup; and,
2) Your current financial situation.

For a limited time only, The Rich Jerk is on sale for HALF PRICE!

That makes it a "MUST...GET...NOW" for anyone's educational library. But if you absolutely had to make a choice, then here's how I would make the determination as to which one wins my hard-earned money:

If you are already in motion, setup on the web, either taking orders or getting ready to take orders, you have your own little system and your own product and/or business, then
THE RICH JERK
is for you. It will show you powerful STRATEGIES as to how to make your current, and all such future endeavors SIGNIFICANTLY more profitable.

However, if you fashion yourself to be a pretty fast learner and are desirous and confident enough that "...if only someone would lay it out clearly and show me exactly what to do, I would do it." then ROBORICHES is for you.

And in case you're wondering, "Sam, do you actually buy or look over these things before you recommend them?" Well, you be the judge...

From inside The Rich Jerk...

From Inside Robo Riches...

See, Proof of Purchase AND a brain! Woohoo! I have a brain!

Warmly Wishing you great SUCCESS,
Sam Freedom
PS. When it comes to "RoboRiches vs. The Rich Jerk", one thing is abundantly clear: both are must-have resources for your ongoing education but AT LEAST one of them belongs in your possession RIGHT NOW. All that's left is for you to remember what I wrote above and decide.

Check Out RoboRiches:

===============================
1. Hey Look What I Found! - Security Issue
===============================

I'm not going into detail on this, but I'm just going to say
as loudly as I can without using capital letters, if you
have any kind of websites at all, make sure you have an
index.htm file in EVERY directory folder. That's ALL
I'm going to say on that matter.

Whether it's the news, or just a guy loving attention,
some people go into details about "dangerous things"
just because "its the truth" or "its just the facts" and that's
true, it's often just the facts. But I believe one also has
a responsibility in presenting those facts and must take
into account the possibility of tempting people into bad
behaviours.

So I am agreeing that I AM MY BROTHERS KEEPER,
and without tempting anyone, I'll just say, one more time:

Make sure all of your directory folders have an index.htm
file in them. In fact, make it juicy advertising or just blank
white if you want, but make sure there's one in there,
otherwise, you've got a gaping hole in your business.

Nuff said...
==================================
2. Ad Tracking 202 - Rethink the Link
==================================

Proper Ad Tracking Links are the most underestimated
"link" in the chain. Which do you gravitate towards?

http://www.samfreedom.com/recommends/Powerlink-Generator
http://www.clickaudit.com/goto/?16644

After struggling so hard to get links viewed and
clicked on, why do people present an ugly link that
has "Amateur" written all over it?

Since this is one area that people will ALWAYS
underestimate, the one who doesn't, clearly has
the edge. And I won't take up any more space
talking about it because I blogged about it sufficiently
at the link below:

http://controversialmarketing.blogspot.com/2005/10/ad-tracking-202-what-do-these-5-links.html

Btw, for any of you wiseguys out there, ;-) blog links are
not ugly. They are not tracking links; they don't spell
"affiliate commission"; and they contain information AND
pique the curiousity of avid bloggers. So there...!

==========================================
3. Mini-Sites Made Easy Doubled Expectations
==========================================

Wow! This is the find of the century. As you may know
by now, I want myself and others to be proud of what
I do online, so my thoughts first go to whether or not
something can REALLY be of use to the everday guy and
gal.

Well, here's one that OVER-delivers:
Daniel Kelly's Mini Sites Made Easy video series
http://www.samfreedom.com/recommends/mini-sites-made-easy

I wrote about it just a few days ago, and was surprised
with DOUBLE the response most offers receive. It went
through the roof, and mainly because Dan's product is
so USEFUL and so well done, that he confidently gives
visitors a whole TWO WEEKS to review ALL ..not some,
but ALL, of his materials for just ONE DOLLAR..yeah,
you heard me right....all 28 videos (plus the bonuses)
can be reviewed for two weeks for only $1.

Now I know a LOT about web marketing, a LOT...I'm
like a sponge, and yet i still learned from his video course,
so if I had THREE thumbs, I'd give it three thumbs up.
http://www.samfreedom.com/recommends/mini-sites-made-easy

(if you pick this up and stay with it, I'll see to it that
you are furnished with a free web hosting account.
Just email me with your receipt 2 weeks after signup..

==================================
4. Giving Away Memberships, plus some
==================================

Here's just ONE of the many ways I gain new
subscribers....

I go to a forum, any forum will do, and I find posts
that I can help with. It's important that the post
really be of help because marketers tend to
frown upon junk posts meant only to get exposure.
(or at least ask a darn good question!)

Most forums allow you a signature file with about
5 lines to advertise whatever you want, and some
forums allow an image link (most dont, though).

So I use a picture like this:
http://www.sam-freedom.com/images/freemembership.gif
and a link like this:
http://www.samfreedom.com/recommends/This-Free-Membership
(go ahead, see where it "leads", no pun intended)

And you can do either that, or some other creative
way of adding to your subscriber base. That one is
just so simple that it blows me away more people
haven't discovered it yet...actually, it doesn't surprise
me, when I think about it. I discover all the backroads
under-the-reader techniques that the gurus will never
tell you about, so it makes sense now.

If you want to go to seminars every 3 weeks and sip
tea and smoke cigars then just ignore this section,
but if you want to start fattening up your list, then take
a close look at what you're about to see:
http://www.samfreedom.com/recommends/You-Fatten-Your-List

===========================================
5. Guru-itis: What's Mark Joyner up to now?
===========================================

Ok, everyone is allowed one rant, and this won't
even be a rant, but it doesn't take 75 minutes to
explain viral marketing to people. But, as always,
a lesson can be learned from anything...

The lesson here is...that most people don't know that!

So they can't wait to hear the lastest on Viral Marketing
and they spend 75 minutes listening to someone drag
out a concept that can be clearly explained and illustrated
in less than half the time. So props to MJ for taking
advantage of the gullible and naive and framing it in
the context of "marketing" or "people thirsting for knowledge."

If you're one of his cheerleading zombies, please tell
him Sam said hello when you report back to him on
what I just wrote. Thanks!

==============================
6. Hooray for Medical Billing!
==============================

Like a rainbow, I'm not sure how long this pretty
little thing will last but SOMEHOW on my main
lead capture portal, Google Adsense has served
up 2 ads for "medical billing."

Now I'm going to show it to you, but whatever you
do, don't click on them. It's against Google TOS for
me to tell you TO click on them, but there's nothing
in Google's TOS that says I can't tell you to NOT
click on them, so please DON'T click on them.

Doing so would only increase my coffers and
it might cause the pretty little thing to go away
and I kinda like it there. So please DON'T click
on those juicy, huge mo/ney, $3+/click medical
billing ads, please, ok? Thanks!

http://www.sam-freedom.com/brand.htm

Just look at them, like me, and scratch your head
in wonder. ;-)

========================================
7. PROJECT SAM - It's Not Too Late to Turn Back
========================================

I am passionate about internet marketing. I find it
exhilirating, but there are times when I could just
pull my hair out, or put my monitor through the window.
So I'm gonna do something no other marketer I've
ever seen has done before...PROJECT SAM.

I'm going to start a blog that lays it pretty bare.
No technical mumbo jumbo, 8,000 words thrown
in your face hoping to get Adsense commission...
no, I'm going to blog straight
forward about what a pleasure and what a
nightmare marketing can be.

Usually, you get a LITTLE insight into what
others are doing. Or it gets packaged into
a fluffy book and presented with impersonal
ad copy. But I'm not going to give you any
of that. I'm going to just lay it bare and tell
you what I'm going through as I create my
campaigns.

And I'll leave up to guys like Marlon Sanders
to try to package it up and sell it to you:
http://url123.com/wvpcu
(oops, was that an ugly link?)
http://www.samfreedom.com/recommends/Powerlink-Generator

So stay tuned for Project Sam, I have the graphics
designer working on the template now. Who knows,
I might even put up "The Sam Cam"...shhhhh!

Wishing you the best,
Sam

Ad Tracking 202 - What Do These 5 Links Have In Common?

Greetings Fellow Entrepeneur,

Without clicking any of them just yet, take a moment or two and see if you can tell what the following links have in common:

http://eztrackpro.com/trackbiz/control/redirect.php?d=461
http://www.clickaudit.com/goto/?16644
http://www.samfreedom.com/recommends/Powerlink-Generator
http://url123.com/zwhmp
http://a-great-idea.biz/x/go.php?c=plg

At a glance, you might say it's the "http://" at the beginning and technically you'd be right. But non-technically, from the viewpoint of a marketer who needs to pay the bills each month, there is nothing obviously connecting them.

Now go ahead and click on a couple of them and, suddenly, it becomes obvious - they all point to the same opportunity, "Powerlink Generator" by Mike Filsaime. If you're an experienced marketer, you might have even guessed that they were all tracking links. But how could you? Because you recognize the ugly links by now. You're familiar with them because you've seen them being used all over the place.

So they must be good, right? I mean, if they're being used all over the place, how could they possibly be bad for your online health? Besides, aren't many links stuffed behind link text?

http://www.samfreedom.com/recommends/Powerlink-Generator

Well, there's much more to this than meets the eye, so let me tell you why I chose to write about LINK TRACKING POWERFULLY. Plain and simple, there is so much taken for granted about it and most people, unfortunately, are none the wiser. First of all, if you're NOT tracking your campaigns, you are WAY, WAY out of the loop. Link Tracking is just a fact-of-life for successful marketers. You have to know, with a fair degree of certainty whether the places in which you are advertising are worth your time and energy. And sometimes you discover a hidden gem, like a signature line in a certain forum, for instance, might get you more clickthroughs and sales than a $99 advertisement in a 20,000 member ezine.

[If you are an "advanced" marketer and think you know all of this, read on, you might be surprised...]

Without TRACKING, you are blind to the results of your efforts, and are almost certainly losing time, energy and, therefore, money. And the bill collectors don't care that it's because you're not tracking your campaigns. So then listen closely because I am really here to help, and I do, and I track my campaigns.

So then what's all the fuss about tracking links?

Let's be honest, here. If you were to read over the following links and could pick only one, which would it be?

http://eztrackpro.com/trackbiz/control/redirect.php?d=461
http://www.clickaudit.com/goto/?16644

Most people who've answered this question for me pick one of the following:

http://www.samfreedom.com/recommends/Powerlink-Generator
http://a-great-idea.biz/x/go.php?c=plg

But mostly the first one made by Mike Filsaime's Powerlink Generator. And why is that? Because...

#1 It speaks to your mind in a familiar language.

It's an actual full sentence.
#2 It means something to you instantly.

You can wrap your head around it without any tiresome brainwork. AFTER the fact, you can theoretically argue anything, but knowing how the brain works, it always gravitates towards what takes the least effort to digest.
#3 It identifies and promotes the link owner and his or her site,

(rather than the site of any free link tracking services with the ugly non-meaningful links).

The more people see your Powerlink, the more they say, "Hey, who is that person?" Think not? You would be surprised. Coca-Cola knows that, in a market full of colas, having their name in as many places as possible is just as important, if not more so, than having a good cola. In fact, Pepsi usually wins the taste tests rather decisively.

A few people chose the 2nd link:
http://a-great-idea.biz/x/go.php?c=plg
because it, TOO, had a catchy phrase in the domain, but even to get that result (still with an ugly ending) was not free. PLUS I had to have it installed by a professional (I don't do installs!). Mike Filsaime's Powerlink Generator installation is PARTIALLY AUTOMATED and gave me the final steps by VIDEO which made installing it a CINCH! I literally had it up and running in under 5 minutes.

So Here's the Million Dollar Question....

WHY..., do you put so much time and energy and cash into things like list building and traffic generation only to try to close the deal with a stinky, ugly link? SOMETIMES you can stuff the link into HTML but you know that's not always convenient or possible. Don't your hard efforts at traffic generation and list building and forum posting deserve the click? Why, at that last crucial moment of getting people to go where you want them to, do you limp in with a link that looks like it was created in the dead language of Sanskrit?

AND WHY..., with all the desire to get people to your affiliate programs, or your own sites, do you let all your efforts go into promoting SOMEONE ELSE'S site that generates free ugly links when you could be getting all that pagerank and backlink credit from the search engines for yourself?
AND WHY, ALSO..., do you put all of that effort into promoting someone ELSE'S name when you could instead be identifying yourself as an authority or some kind of expert in your field? You work SO HARD for everything online, why let such an important part of it all slip away?
This is a perfect example of what seperates the successful from the unsuccessful - the successful take such details as these very seriously. Otherwise, no pun intended, these details become "the weak link" in your sales process. You somehow get to thinking,
"Oh, it won't matter. As long as I get people to read what I write, I can pretty much toss any link at them and it won't matter what it looks like...if they're hungry enough, they'll go."

So Then Please Tell Me...
If you're an expert fashion designer, and you're wearing rags to parties where no one knows you, do you think they can tell from across the room that you're a fashion expert? Do you think even if you are introduced as a fashion expert that they'll take you seriously? EVENTUALLY MAYBE...but the point is that it will take a LOT MORE CONVINCING if you are wearing rags.

And it will take you a lot more to convince people that you are qualified to make recommendations if you are using ugly links from free services or an affiliate back office.

A lot of people now realize that I know what I'm talking about (most of the time!), so I might be able to get away with some ugly links...but knowing what I know, I am now going to be using Powerlink Generator almost every chance I get. It's nice to have a good reputation, but there's no need to lean on it all the time - especially with something like Powerlink Generator to present the professional appearance that increases good reputation instantly and therefore increases your clickthrough rate.

And you know what else? I didn't even get around to telling you how Mike Filsaime's "Powerlink Generator" also allows you to store your affiliate login page, username and password so you don't have to run all over the place looking for the back office login info for the affiliate programs you're tracking.

Bottom line is...., that it not only doesn't pay, but can cost you significantly, to understimate the significance and importance of both tracking the results of your efforts, AND presenting prospects with a link that promotes you as a professional and an authority in your chosen field.

Now with that being said....

Here's to your success, my friend!

20 Dollar Bill Brings $840 During Ebay Auction

This is a TRUE story from an expert marketer far outside the perimeter of the celebrity guru circle.

It is a fascinating lesson in understanding human behaviour and how $20 really can bring in $840 from an Ebay auction. After reading this in it's entirety, I am certain you will see the potential of using Ebay in a much different light.

Thus begins the story of Master Marketer, Terry Gibbs:

"20 Dollar Bill Brings $840 During Ebay Auction.
Last week I showed you an eBay auction as an example of the pricing power of eBay.
During the auction, I got emails from subscribers and eBay searchers asking me questions. In this email I'll answer a few of the questions, and you can read along in order to learn some important lessons.

If you were watching the auction you already know the bill sold for $32.05. The headline says I made $840. I'll show you where this extra m0ney came from.

It might surprise you.

To recap, I listed a 1950 20 dollar bill on eBay with a starting price of 1 cent and no reserve.
My intention was to prove in a dramatic way that as long as an item is listed in the best category with an adequate description and picture it will sell for at least wholesale value.

The reason for getting at least wholesale value is dealers will bid any antique or collectible up to it's wholesale value. Ifyou get a few end users to bid on the auction, you'll get the retail price.
The only time this won't be true is when demand is less than supply. For items where demand meets or exceeds supply, you will always get at least the wholesale value.

I thought the twenty dollar was a great example because it had a face value. Remember, I got the bill at the bank when I was cashing a check. Basically, I paid 20 dollars for it.

The first question I got was from a subscriber who wanted to know if I had people bidding on the auction for me.

Shame on you for even thinking that. I didn't have anyone bid on the auction - this is called shill bidding and violateseBay's rules.

Another question I got was more of a statement:

"You've got to be kidding, someone will really pay 23 or 24dollars for a 20 dollar bill? Whoa!"
I actually got quite a few of these type of questions.

Remember this is a 55 year old bill. While it's worth 20 dollars as currency, it also has collector value. I got an email from a dealer who saw the bill on eBay and here's what he had to say:
"We have a bill like this one in our shop... The bill is worth approx. $30.00 on today's market. The reason? You notice the back does not have In God We Trust. That was not put on our paper money until 1957. If you spend the bill in a store today, it will end up back at the reserve bank and then it will go to the incinerator to be burned. Keeping it in good condition will only cause the value to increase. I just thought I would share the info with you. Have a great day and good luck with your auction."

This dealer say's the bill is worth about $30. The auction ended at $32.05 which is within ten percent of his guess.

Here are two questions that bear some scrutiny:

"I notice this auction has had over 2900 page views, how did you get so many people to look at your auction?"

And -

"I have to ask...and you can answer if you like. How did you get enough watchers on this auction to make eBay Pulse? The auction is fascinatingly simple."

I got over a dozen similar questions. Some referred to the pulse, most referred to the number of visit0rs.

Before I address these questions, let me explain what the pulse is for those of you who are unfamiliar with it.

The eBay Pulse is a page that lists the most watched eBay items. It also contains information about the most popular searches and the largest stores. I haven't mentioned the Pulse in the past because it has verylittle value. It's good for entertainment, but doesn't provide much information for the average eBay seller. The Pulse does have a use, and I'll explain that in a minute.

Now, I looked at the auctions of everyone who asked about traff1c and/or the pulse. They were all small sellers with low feedback selling new items. Actually, they were listing new items with few items getting bids.

These sellers were looking for traff1c because they think it will solve their problem. By itself it won't.

Protect Yourself and Maximize Your Effort on Ebay with Terry's Two FREE Guides at the Bottom of This Page.

Someone who needs some new socks will go to Wal-Mart, not oneBay.
Remember, the point of the example was to demonstrate that items will sell for at least wholesale value AS LONG AS THE DEMAND MATCHES OR EXCEEDS THE SUPPLY. The demand for socks and batteries is much less than the supply.

I have one more question to share with you and then I'll tie this all together and show you the m0ney.

This question is from a reader, not an auction viewer:

"I couldn't help but notice the graphic for the buyers guide right on the auction page.. That's kind of pushing it with eBay isn't it? I know the link only went to your Me page and you linked out to the AR page from there."

This reader has been paying attention.

He has an idea of where the extra 830 dollars came from.

To answer his question, this does not violate eBay's rules. I have been doing this in my auctions for years. Additionally, I have taught thousands of people to do this in their auctions.Neither I nor my students have ever had a problem with eBay for giving away free reports on the me page and telling people about them in the auctions. Yet, I constantly get questions about eBay's rules.

Actually, I think people who misinterpret the rules are looking for reasons not to do something.
Rather than go into a rant, I am going to skip the whole rules question and go back to explaining where the m0ney came from.

As the question above mentioned the image of the eBay buyer'sguide linked to my me page. The me page has two links. One directly to the Auction Revolution and one to my IWantCollectibles site. This is where the extra money came from. I sell my ebooks andoffer other items as an affiliate on my websites.

While this auction was designed to prove a point about pricing, I did spend the extra few minutes to set up a me page and put links to my websites on the page. None of the people who asked about traff1c have me pages that link to websites. They suffer from the idea that the only way to make money on eBay is by listing and selling items.

They are caught in the volume trap.

Think about it. I made $11.00 directly in the $20 bill auction. I ma.de over $800 additional dollars as a result of my me page.

Even better the extra pr0fits were robotic. Once I set the system up I don't have to do anything except cash the checks from the affi1iate programs.

I said earlier there is a use for the Pulse. A lot of the people who look at the pulse auctions are eBay sellers looking for ways to improve their pr0fititablity. I teach eBay skills, so being listed on the pulse drives qualified people into my me page. This is why the number is so high. Usually the results are much less.

Now for some information you can use in your auctions.

If you don't already have a me page set up, you set one up.You can give away the eBay Buyer's Guide in your auctions until you can come up with your own report. You can personalize the guide on the Auction-Revolution.com website, and will get commissions from all sales resulting from yougiving away the personalized guide.

Secondly you need to start thinking about additional items you can promote related to the items you already sell.

The Auction Revolution contains complete instructions for leveraging your auction results.

PS You might be thinking "I sell ______ and this won't work for me." Or, "I only sell a few items a month." It doesn'tmatter what you sell, or how many items you list a month. A small amount of time learning to leverage your auctions will provide results for any eBay seller. http://url123.com/xrzdg
